Connect the Brick or Stone to your Fireplace Wall Cut a 1-inch strip of cardboard and band the perimeter from the fireplace insert with it to guard the insert. Produce a dry format in the stone veneer on the floor next to the fireplace wall. Slash as much from the stone veneer as is possible beforehand. Use a damp tile noticed to chop the veneer.
